Jeff Richardson & Steven Drozd - Do They Know It's Christmas?

**UPDATE** Thank you for dowloading the Nice People Holiday Single. We purchased licensing for 1000 digital copies of this cover song. On Christmas night, we reached our 1000th download. If you didn't get a copy, check around. I bet your friends did! And, if they're still in the spirit of the holidays, they'll probably send a copy to you. Thank you!Thank you!Thank you! **UPDATE**

Jeff Richardson (Locust Avenue) called me to book a day in the studio to record a cover of Do They Know It's Christmas? When he showed up for the session, he had Steven Drozd (Flaming Lips) with him. I can't even begin to describe how much fun I had working on that session. And, the song turned out really great! The guys didn't really have a plan for what to do with the song, outside of emailing it to friends. I felt that it would be a shame for this great cover to be kept so secret. So, I offered to make this cover the 2009 Nice People Holiday Single. They were excited about the idea. So, Nice People picked up the tab for licensing the cover and we're making it available to you for free. We really hope you'll enjoy this fantastic version of the 1984 Band Aid Christmas classic. Have a great holiday season! And, thank you all so much for your support of Nice People.

Depth & Current - Hiding

Who am I kidding? I'm not gonna write up a press release saying nice things about my own band. Depth & Current is Chris Harris, Colin Ingersol, Scott Twitchell and Derek Lemke. We might as well be considered the Nice People house band. We really hope you like our new single, Hiding.

Our first EP, Arms, can be purchased at Size Records or Guestroom in Oklahoma. Or, you can get it from iTunes by clicking THIS LINK.

Become friends/fans of Depth & Current via MySpace and Facebook.

Feel Spectres - Blow Up The Moon

Feel Spectres make pop music that doesn't insult your intelligence. Their songs are timeless and catchy without needing to be dumbed down for the masses. We love Feel Spectres because they seem to possess most of the qualities that we love about indie rock, while avoiding the things that turn us off. They have clever lyrics without being pretentious and insulting. Their sense of humor enhances the music rather than defining it. They're serious about rocking, without taking themselves too seriously. They're cool without being aloof or unapproachable. Feel Spectres, like many of our current favorite bands, are a tight posse making great music for all the right reasons. This band makes it look like a lot of fun to be in a band. We're expecting great things from Feel Spectres. Blow Up The Moon is just a taste. Check out Feel Spectres (and become a fan/friend) on Facebook and MySpace.

Gentle Ghost - Monarch Pass single

Gentle Ghost is like a breath of fresh air. Sethy McCarroll and crew put the ART back in Art-Rock. They will gently ease their way into your subconscious before pummeling you with an earnest intensity that is larger than life. It's like reading the diary of someone you really, genuinely want to know more about. We at Nice People have very high hopes for this band. Their music and sincerity have moved us in a way that we haven't been moved in a long time. We hope you enjoy the first single, Monarch Pass. Please check them out on Facebook and MySpace. And, spread the word. This is a band that needs to be heard. It could do us all some good!
